I
am a true East Coast-West Coast hybrid. I spent my first fourteen
years in Great Neck, N.Y. Then, in 1973, my family moved to
Phoenix, Arizona. It was quite a culture shock for a girl from
New York to move to a city where kids rode horses to school
on dirt roads in Scottsdale! Of course, all that has changed
now. Phoenix is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the
country.
In 1980, I completed my undergraduate education
at the University of Arizona in Tucson and came to California
to begin my legal career at the University of San Diego, School
of Law (J.D. 1983). I fell in love with San Diego and have been
in practice here ever since. I am also licensed to practice
law in Arizona.
In 1998, I got married and thought I would get
pregnant in no time. But no time turned into a long time and
in 2001, I sought medical treatment for infertility. With the
help of a wonderful doctor and his staff, in April 2003, I became
pregnant and gave birth to my son Griffin on December 30, 2003.
My experience with the IVF process did two things
for me. First, and most importantly, it brought me the gift
of motherhood to an incredible little boy. Second, it helped
me realize that I wanted to dedicate my career to assisting
others through this challenging, but hopefully rewarding process.
Within a year of giving birth, I left a full-time
in-house litigation position to open my own office dedicated
to assisted family formation. I will assist you in all necessary
legal matters to complete the process of parenthood, and if
you wish, I will also act as a liaison between you and any medical,
legal or administrative office during the entire pregnancy and
through the birth process.
I hope I can be of assistance to you as you
embark upon this incredible journey.
